Lakeside Community Quilt

The Lakeside Community Quilt reflects the community, past and present, in and around Lakeside School. The display of quilts at the reunion showed what a beautiful job the students have done through the years. Some former students have chosen to duplicate the square they did when they were in school for the community quilt. You do not have to have worked on a quilt, or even be a former student to participate. If you live here, or ever lived here, your contribution is welcome.

To make a quilt square of your own:

  • Each square is 10" x 10" fabric, 8" x 8" picture area.
  • Non-stretch cotton-based fabric is preferred, but any kind of fabric is acceptable.
  • Subject: anything that relates to the school or mountain living, or brings back a memory. Even a plain piece of fabric that brings a memory is good. Former students may want to duplicate their student squares.
  • Medium: includes embroidery, appliqué, fabric paints and dyes, or a combination. Be creative!
  • Supplies should be available at any yardage or crafts store. In Los Gatos, try Natural Expressions on North Santa Cruz Ave.

Drop off finished squares at the school, or send them to
